Without this illumination, calcium is not stored in his bones and they then collapse. Turtles have a pyramidal effect - they have a soft shell.

    Always choose UVB sources according to the environment where the animal comes from - desert reptiles have very high demands on UVB , which with their values in our conditions corresponds only to the sunniest day at noon. But beware, such strong UVB radiation will harm, for example, Chameleon from the forest, which practically does not get in direct sunlight, and that is why we choose lighting with medium UVB requirements .

    Reptiles, unlike humans, see UVA radiation . Because they recognize foods not only by shape but also by color, many of which include UVA colors, lighting containing UVA is an integral part of terrarium animal husbandry.

    ReptiEye offers two sources of UVA radiation - DayLight lamps and Daylight fluorescent lamps . The main difference is the intensity and size of the irradiated area. The lamps can illuminate a narrow area with a high intensity of radiation, while fluorescent lamps illuminate the entire terrarium evenly, but with a lower intensity.

    Plaz je živočich bez termoregulace, je tedy závislý na teplotě okolí, pokud ji bude mít nízkou, většinou bude tmavý ( černá barva lépe pohlcuje teplo ), špatně prospívat - nebude žrát a nebudou mu fungovat vnitřní orgány, tudíž ani trávit potravu, atd... Na druhou stranu pokud mu přetopíte a nedáte na výběr místo kde se ochladí, tak jej " upečete" zaživa.
